The Role

We are excited about our newly established joint venture between YNAP and Mohamed Alabbar's Symphony Investments*. The new company will manage Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter, Yoox and The Outnet in the region, as well as online stores for fashion brands — an opportunity with significant potential in the Middle East. The joint venture will be headquartered in Dubai, and will serve the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, with a view to expand to other countries in the Middle East and North Africa in the future. The Middle East is one of the fastest growing global centres for luxury retail and the joint venture has the ambitious goal to become the major platform for this market.

This opportunity will report into the YNAP Middle East’s CEO and working closely with the YNAP Finance teams in our European offices.

Finance Manager will be fully responsible for our YNAP branch in Dubai for administrative and financial controlling activities, in particular:
• Financial planning and controlling
• Quarterly and annually financial statement
• Reporting on business performance to the shared with the Board of Directors, attending local Board meetings
• Preparation and management of annual budgets (sales, costs, etc) and multi-year financial plans
• Management of Middle East accounting records
• Tax compliance (mainly sales and income tax)

Requirements

The ideal candidate has either covered the same position for a subsidiary of an international group or has a financial controlling background in an international company. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that is set to rapidly grow from start up to a well-established leading player in online luxury in the region. Flexibility and entrepreneurship are key characteristics.

Other requirements include:

• Financial controlling and planning experience
• Knowledge and experience in transfer pricing policies
• ERP, Microsoft Navision, Avalara System experience
• Accounting (IFRS principles) and tax competences
• Knowledge of Italian language is a strong plus

Location
Based in Dubai, UAE. This role may involve some infrequent travel to our European offices.
